For the Community: Martitha May
We are proud to highlight our employees and their dedication to our local community. One of our most active volunteers, Martitha participates in several service organizations and plays a large role in the local immigrant community. A cofounder of the Kitsap Immigration Center, Martitha has been running the institution since 2004 when she started it out of her garage. Since then, the KIC has provided legal, tax, medical, and citizenship classes for the thousands in the local immigrant community.
Martitha also runs meetings for the Kitsap Mesa Redonda, which “brings together social service stakeholders from around Kitsap County to ensure that the needs of our Hispanic populations are being met.” Receiving many well known guests such as Mexican Consulate Lillian Cordoba and the Kitsap County Chief of Police, Martitha has brought together many counties for these discussions. Our CEO, Alexander Rodenko also attended a recent meeting to learn more about this organization. In addition, Martitha volunteers at Kitsap Camp through New Life held annually at the Kitsap Pavilion as well as Kitsap 9/11 Memorial. Thank you, Martitha, for all you do in our community!
